Michele Robecchi

Co-Founder Of Prishtina Biennale

Michele Robecchi is a distinguished curator, writer, and art critic with deep experience in contemporary art and publishing. Based in London, he has held roles including editor of sections devoted to contemporary art at Phaidon Press, and has contributed extensively to major art magazines, journals, and institutions.

As Co-Founder of the Prishtina Biennale, Michele brings both a global perspective and a strong curatorial voice to the institution. His involvement ensures that the Biennale not only showcases Kosovo’s creative energy but also connects it with international dialogues, cultural criticism, and artistic innovation. Through his leadership, the Biennale draws on rich networks in Europe and beyond, inviting curators, artists, and thinkers to engage in meaningful exchange.

Michele’s practice is marked by careful attention to how art interacts with social, political, and cultural landscapes. His curatorial projects often explore identity, place, and the role of art in reflecting and shaping collective experience. As Co-Founder, he continues to help shape Prishtina Biennale’s mission: to provide a dynamic platform where emerging and established artists converge, where audiences are invited into reflection, and where Kosovo’s cultural scene is both celebrated and reimagined.
