Paper Gallery, together with the Prishtina Biennale, as part of the project “In Our Hands”, screened the short film “Adelina” by Rita Krasniqi on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

After convincing his friends to perform in their drag outfits at a nightclub owned by a deeply homophobic businessman, things take a dark turn when their performance is abruptly interrupted by a wardrobe malfunction that reveals their true identities—putting their lives in immediate danger.

Rita Krasniqi is a Kosovar writer, director, and filmmaker. She was born and raised in Kosovo, where she completed her undergraduate studies in Film and TV at the University of Prishtina. She later moved to Los Angeles, where she received her postgraduate degree in Film and Media from the New York Film Academy. She currently resides in Los Angeles while working in the film industry. Her films focus on social issues and human rights.
