RETROSPEKTIVË

Paper Gallery, in collaboration with the Prishtina Biennale and as part of the project “In Our Hands,” opened the retrospective exhibition of Musë Prelvukaj. This exhibition takes us on a journey through time via the artist’s drawings, spanning from the 1960s to the present day.

Musë Prelvukaj belongs to the first generation of graduates from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Prishtina, which is evident in the techniques of the drawings on display. Through the lively expression of lines, dramatic elements, and analytical components using letters and symbols, the artist creates diverse compositional figuration that forms a cohesive overall image. Epic motifs are present throughout these works. These pieces have traveled through dozens of group exhibitions, and for one month, they will be part of Prelvukaj’s personal retrospective at Paper Gallery.

Life during a time that demanded meticulous handwork, extensive research, discipline, and dedication is reflected and complemented in the drawings created by Musë Prelvukaj.
